12 monitoring locations around the world

You can select to monitor your website or server from up to 12 different locations around the world, which results in a very good downtime detection accuracy. We are working with several different hosting providers in each of our monitoring locations in order to ensure that our platform will continue to perform as expected even if some of our hosting providers experience outages or network issues themselves. Each one of our monitoring locations is configured to have self-healing and automatic load balancing tasks, which means that even if one or more of our monitoring nodes experiences issues, they'll be temporarily put out of workload assignment and your websites/servers will be checked only by the healthy monitoring nodes within that particular location.

Outage Detection

Extremely accurate outage detection

Unlike most of the Uptime Monitoring services out there, that check your monitored target from just one location and will only re-check it from other locations if the main location fails, our platform is checking your websites/servers throughout the minute from all of the selected monitoring locations (up to 12 different locations). This way we are guaranteed to get the fastest outage detection time while having the maximum accuracy possible, given the fact that the outage is simultaneously confirmed and re-confirmed from multiple locations around the world.

Uptime Reports

Insightful Uptime Reports

Each one of your Uptime Monitors will have a neatly organised Uptime Report, which will contain all of its history, such as recorded outages, errors, response time, etc. Every Uptime Report is private by default, which means that only you (as a logged in user) can view it, but you can also choose to make it public and share it with your colleagues or clients. We offer an unlimited uptime history in all of our plans, so you don't have to worry about losing your uptime data over the years.

Maintenance Mode

Maintenance Mode

You may have to power off or reboot your servers from time to time, and it's always better to do it as planned rather than unexpected. So we've implemented Maintenance Mode just for such cases, when you need to put your Uptime Monitor on a sort of pause. Unlike most of the other Uptime Monitoring providers out there, our system doesn't pause monitoring under Maintenance Mode, it just marks it differently in your Uptime Reports and optionally pauses alerts sent to you regarding any detected outages. This way, even under maintenance, you can always see whether or not your server or website is up or down. Furthermore, you can even schedule maintenances ahead of time or trigger them via our API from your own system or panel.

Location Fail Log

Logging the exact encountered errors

Every time any of our monitoring locations encounters an issue with your website or server, they log the exact error at the exact time it happened, in your Location Fail Log. This is a powerful tool that could help you determine the root cause of any outage, and see how the outage progressed throughout the minute(s).

Network Diagnostics

MTR/Ping samples during an outage

Whenever an outage is detected, our platform immediately dispatches tasks for our monitoring locations to collect MTR and PING samples towards the monitored target, which are then logged in your Network Diagnostics. These are neatly stored in your Uptime Report for you to review and possibly help you figure out what the root cause of the downtime was, if this was a network outage or issue.

Domain Expiration

Domain Expiration Monitoring

It's always a good idea to monitor all of your domains' expiration dates, to make sure that you're not caught by surprise by one of your websites going down because its domain name has expired. Our platform offers a simple solution for this, monitoring by default all of your Uptime Monitors' domain names. Furthermore, you can even configure alerts to be sent out to you X days before any of your domains are about to expire.

SSL Expiration

SSL Expiration Monitoring

Even more important than domain names, you should always keep an eye on your SSL certificate expiration dates, as these can cause some nasty errors for your users. We offer a simple solution, as our platform will monitor by default all of the SSL certificate expiration dates of your Uptime Monitors. And of course, you can also configure warnings to be emailed to you X days before any SSL certificate is about to expire, so you can renew it in time, before it gets to cause any issues for your website visitors.

SSL Authenticity

Monitor your SSL's authenticity

You can configure your Website Uptime Monitors to check whether or not your SSL certificate is valid, authentic, and matching or not your hostname. If any of these checks failed, you'd be alerted so that you can quickly fix the issues before your website visitors encounter any SSL errors.

Nameservers Monitoring

Nameservers Change Detection

It's never a good sign if your domain's nameservers are suddenly changed, without you knowing about it. Your domain could have expired or even worse, could have been hijacked. So it's always a good idea to monitor your domains for any unexpected nameservers changes. Our platform will monitor this for all of your Uptime Monitors, by default, and you can even configure alerts to be sent to you whenever we detect any nameserver changes for your monitors.

Search

Search Auto-Complete & Search Cloud

You can easily search through your Uptime Monitors based on their name, monitored target, category, and private notes. Our platform offers an auto-complete search feature in order to help you get faster results. The auto-complete suggestions will be based on multiple factors, among which, your most searched terms. Furthermore, you can enable Search Cloud which will keep your most popular searches as labels on top of your dashboard, so you can quickly one-click them at any time and bring up only certain monitors to work on.

Repeated Alerts

Never miss an outage alert

You can configure repeated alerts in case of an outage, so you can be absolutely sure that you'll never miss that initial alert. Our platform will keep nagging you with alerts until you acknowledge the outage by placing the monitor under maintenance mode, or until the outage is over.

Ignore Short Downtimes

Ignore short downtimes

You can also choose to ignore short downtimes, by configuring our platform to only alert you about an outage if it is longer than X minutes. This way, if you wish, you can disregard any short outages, although we would certainly not advise it.
